Are you looking for a new aesthetic, your mismatched decor becoming old? Well, brick can be a great addition to any room, wall, or fireplace. Not only can you go with the more traditional red brick, but you can also embellish with white, black or grey bricks to better suit your style. You do not even need to find the space for wide bulky bricks, you can simply request fake brick!
A More Traditional Approach:
Traditionally, brick has been used on the exteriors of houses, fireplaces, and even mantles. This was done because brick is an excellent insulator, resistant to heat, and requires minimal maintenance. Because of these factors, brick is still the number one building material out there! Brick is sustainable as well, allowing years of use before becoming damaged, and requiring little to no paint on its exterior.
Because fake brick is, well, fake, it does not provide the same benefits of real brick. However, there are a few other bonuses. For example, fake brick allows for a quick installation process and is cheaper than real brick. Not only that, but fake brick is slimmer than regular brick allowing for an inch or so more of space within your room. False brick is also a better option if you are just testing out a style because it is easier to remove than traditional brick.
Fit Your Style:
Brick is capable of fitting multiple different styles. Are you looking for a more bohemian impression or even a modern look? White brick provides a clean look while adding a texture to the wall that makes it stand out from its surroundings. Adding decorations such as Ivy will allow for a more bohemian look, while either keeping it fresh or mounting three vertical pictures side by side would allow for a more modern or minimalistic front. The farmhouse style has made an appearance within the last year, and brick is a great way to add a touch more. A dusty red and white speckled brick wall in your living room or a white and brown entryway is a great way to enhance your decor. Finally, black brick can be used for industrial or darker modern look, as well as used to enhance other decorations in a different style. Maybe you want a black wall in your dining room, or as a backsplash in your kitchen – the possibilities are endless!
Last week we worked on a residential interior repaint including ceiling, walls, and trim. We also worked on a commercial drywall patching, taping, and interior repaint site.
