Hello Everyone, Well, we hope everyone had an opportunity to celebrate Easter and that you were able to get together with friends and family! We had the opportunity to get together with family and share some time with each other. One of the things that we worked on was dying Easter eggs, which allowed our children to work on their color matching and staining techniques. We have been working recently on a couple of drywall projects. One was a remodel of a few areas in a home, where we had to hang, tape, and texture to match the existing. Another was a taping, texturing, priming. and interior painting project where we also had to match the existing texture.
In matching texture, you are trying to get the same air flow, the same consistency, and the same volume, as what was used originally. It is very difficult to get all three variables right and to get a "perfect" match. It generally just takes a fair amount of experience to get a good match. For those of you who are looking to get on our calendar early for exterior painting, we recommend touching base with us soon. We typically start filling up our exterior painting calendar around this time of the year. Thanks for checking in and we look forward to hearing from you! Ryan |
