Have you ever thought about just painting your bedroom wall by yourself? Then you go to the paint store and see all the different paint brushes. And then you remember from an earlier blog that using a roller is much more efficient than a paint brush for large surfaces, so you head over to the roller section. Once you get there you see that there are typically three different types of roller covers. Which one do you choose? Which cover will best suit your paint?
Natural covers – mohair or sheepskin – usually work best with oil-based paints. Other paints may cause the fibers to swell and matt. Synthetic covers – nylon, dacron, and polyester – work great with latex paints! Finally, blended covers - polyester and wool blend – can usually be used with any paint. Because it is a combination of fabrics, it tends to have a longer life.
So far, this year has been extremely busy for us. We are just finishing up a commercial drywall project in Seattle. We will be starting an interior, residential painting project in Snohomish along with a commercial interior painting project in the Redmond/Kirkland area. As you look at your interior walls, imagine how much more a fresh paint job can brighten it up. If you would like the interior – of your house or commercial building – repainted for the upcoming months, let us know soon! We are currently booking interiors along with exteriors. Our schedule is starting to fill up, but we do still have a couple of more openings where we could squeeze you in!
