The grass is green, flowers are blooming, and the sun is shining - spring is a time for being outdoors! Being outdoors, you are not the only one noticing the peeling paint of your house, and the fence - rickety after a long winter, so do all your neighbors and friends! Here are some ideas on how to spruce up your outdoors!
Repainting your Exterior
If the paint on the exterior of your house is peeling - flaky after the cold and rainy seasons, spring is the perfect time to repaint. The midday sun is warm enough to dry the paint before dusk, but isn’t so hot that the paint bubbles before drying! New exterior paint jobs allow your property to look fresh and new. Dark paint with light trim can allow for your landscaping to appear fuller and more healthy. Neutral colors make your house and grounds appear lighter and modern.
Refurbishing your Porch
A newly painted house can be impaired by the look of a shabby porch. Consider repainting the fence surrounding it, replacing the planks that make up the floor, and creating a nice canopy to shield you from the intense sun. If you don’t have a porch, perhaps you should think about adding one on!
Broken poles, cracked planks, and deteriorating paint on a fence can bring the appearance of your house down a lot. This spring, consider replacing the damaged beams and painting the fence to match the colors of your house. A really nice look is a darkly painted house, with a light trim that matches the fence. A white fence is also a great addition to any house because it matches with pretty much everything!
Last week we worked on a residential remodeling project in Bothell. We finished up texturing and painting the ceilings and also started painting the walls. In addition, we worked on a commercial tenant improvement project at a military hospital in Tacoma. We patched and painted the walls and installed the bracing and supports for the new Mammography machines.
