Maybe you have always had just a laundry closet, but are wanting a bigger area that is functional and looks nice. We are here to tell you about some great ideas when updating your laundry room!
Embellishing the Walls
Consider repainting your walls a neutral color - black, white, gray, or a light cream. This will allow you to embellish your walls up to your preference. Tiled walls are super nice to add decoration, while keeping them easy to clean. If that adds too much splendor for your liking, maybe buy, or even create, a counter over the machines with a low backsplash to allow clothing space and add decoration. You could also consider painting a pattern on your wall - like pinstripes or plaid prints - to enhance the look of your laundry room.
Many laundry rooms lack adequate structure. This makes it harder to keep the room clean and prevents discouragement regarding folding your laundry. Installing built-in cupboards allows you to customize your design to fit your desired look, and think of a specific use for every nook and cranny. If this sounds like too much planning and hard work, your local hardware store is sure to have a setup similar to what you want.
