August, the best month of the year here in Washington, is a great time to update the exterior of your home. Here are three colors to get you started while finding the perfect color: Downy Feather by Miller Paint, Annapolis green by Benjamin Moore, and Drift of Mist by Sherwin Williams.
Downy Feather is the perfect peachy color to make your house feel like summer year-round! It also allows for your house to stand out against the boring neutrals lining the streets. Painting your porch and trim white will help bring out the full tangerine color and make your house appear more inviting. Get out of your comfort zone!
Perhaps Downy Feather is a touch too bold. In this case, you may want to go with Annapolis Green instead. This faded blue gives your house a little pop but doesn't command the attention of all those around you like brighter colors may do. The lighter blue makes your grass appear very healthy and full, and when paired with white trim, gives your house a tropical look!
Drift of Mist
Okay we get it, bright colors are not your thing. Drift of Mist is perfect for those wanting to neutralize their home! The grayish tint looks wonderful with either white or navy blue trim and a colored door. The door can match your trim, or for some fun, throw a random color like red or yellow on! Drift on Mist not only works as a base for your house, but also as a trim color!
Last week we removed the door trim, window trim, and flooring on a residential remodeling project in Woodinville. We also began installing the new LVT flooring.
We know these colors are a bit bold, and if they are too daring to paste on the exterior of your house, consider adding them inside as smaller pops of color! Whatever you may choose, we would love to help!
